Beach day today!!! I heard about this little beach by turtle bay that had tide pools and a little swim place for the kids. I decided that this would be a good place to reintroduce them to the ocean and even see a few critters, maybe.
We found a lot of little seashells and this really NEAT thing called a sea cucumber?! Hali'a loved these creatures. She carried them around and thought it was fun that they didn't run away, although I'm sure they wanted to.
After the beach we had to do a little shopping so we could have something to eat and we needed to get a few other things at the store. On the way to Mililani we stopped by Kono's to get crabcake sandwiches and they don't make them anymore, grrrrr, those were some yummy sandwiches!
Then just shopping at wally world and costco and back home to sleep.

Hawaii- 5 weeks - day 1
June 4, 2009
Started off with Kiya taking us to the airport- thanks Kiya again! Flew to Hawaii, the kids were so excited that they didn’t sleep any of the 6 hour plane ride, but they were great! Plans were to get the car and go to the beach, but that didn’t happen we couldn’t get the car until 7 and we arrived at 1:30. Our friends, the Pukahi’s came and picked us up and we played with them for quite a while in honolulu until it was time to get our car (ate at h.k.’s the sandwiches were good, not so good was the fishcakes).
Ruth just had a baby a month ago so we hung out at their house and played. They had some little swings that their grandpa had made and Hali’a was swinging and fell on the cement and got the biggest bump on her head that any of my kids have ever had (it’s gone now, don’t worry grandmas 
Got the car and the kids fell right asleep- drove to our place and are next door to the place we lived 3 years ago. It has a big screen TV, it’s where we use to live but it’s a lot higher class here than I remember it and it’s all decorated in a ladybug theme.
